Where to go?

Hinterzarten Upland Moor

1.5km from the hotel. The largest moor in the Black Forest – 70 hectares, quiet wooden walkways, a world of its own. Here, you can uncover nature’s secrets.

Mt Feldberg

The highest peak in the Black Forest. Sweeping views, crisp air, Alpine scenery. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Alps.

Lake Schluchsee

A walk around the largest lake in the Black Forest – or just a short stroll along the shore. Swimming is permitted.

Schauinsland

In German it means “Look into the land”. Once you reach the top, the Black Forest lies at your feet. Feel the vastness, gaze out over the countryside, take a deep breath.

Mt Belchen, Mt Herzogenhorn, Mt Weißtannenhöhe

For all those who want to go higher. Panoramic peaks, varied trails, the feeling of seeing the world from above.

Ravenna Gorge

The Black Forest hiking routes lead to magical places, like the Ravenna Gorge, just a short walk away. Wildly romantic, with waterfalls, and old bridges. In winter, it hosts one of Germany’s most beautiful Christmas markets.

Wutach Gorge

The wildest gorge in the Black Forest. Steep paths, rushing water, unspoilt nature. For anyone looking for adventure.
